As HR Director in Toca Boca, part of Spin Master, you will support an ambitious and playful organisation full of people who all believe in the power of play. We’re all on a mission of bringing amazing products to our audience of kids all around the world.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will partner closely with leaders to design and implement people strategies that align with business goals. Your primary focus will be working with leaders at or below the SVP level within the studio. You will lead all enterprise HR programs and initiatives, working collaboratively with leaders, managers, and employees to drive alignment and impact.

Your responsibilities will include managing all union-related activities, ensuring a strong and trusted partnership. You will oversee key processes such as health surveys, the health and work environment committee, and other locally regulated obligations.

You will also take ownership of one or more key HR areas, such as HR site leadership or acting as the HR lead for country specific compliance matters. Additionally, you will manage the HR G&A budget and support leaders in effectively managing people costs in line with enterprise guidelines.

Leading with an enterprise mindset, you will be responsible for…

Organisational Design:

- Collaborating with leaders to interpret business needs and people priorities Contributing to the design of the organisational plan, and partnering with leaders in evolving it

Organisational Diagnostics:

- Partnering with the HR Center of Excellence Leads in building recommendations, and working with leaders to implement solutions

- Analysing talent management processes, talent needs and risks, and collaborating with leaders in identifying solutions

- Using your business knowledge in making recommendations, translating data into action and data-supported plans

People Plan:

- Identifying gaps in current plan and participating in creating a people plan for Toca Boca. Implementing talent movement plans in partnership with leaders

Strategic Talent Management:

- Participating in the development and implementation of talent development plans and programs in line with business and talent needs

- Identifying talent strengths and needs, designing approaches to support leaders in making talent related decisions

- Driving operational processes and partners with leaders to identify potential, prepare and place successors

Leadership & Team Performance:

- Creating and innovating by challenging the status quo - thinking broadly, conceptually, and imaginatively

- Assessing data and information, presenting insights and recommendations on leadership effectiveness and performance

- Coaching leaders to improve effectiveness and leadership capability, and in facilitating organisational change and modelling an inclusive environment

- Identifying change needs and helping develop interventions to support strategic goals

Strategy Clarity & Alignment:

- Building trust, listening actively, and communicating transparently while fostering teamwork

- Align people and organisational priorities with business strategies and goals

- Partnering with leaders to connect people and organisational priorities with organisational vision, and executing using enterprise tools and resources as needed

- Clearly communicating expectations and action plans to achieve desired outcomes

Employee Relations & Compliance:

- Fostering an inclusive, respectful workplace where everyone feels they belong, using compassionate leadership

- Applying expertise in labor laws, union requirements, and health and work environment obligations

- Demonstrating problem-solving, analysis, critical thinking, and conflict management skills, in resolving escalated employee relations issues

Management & Team Development:

- Develop, coach, and empower HR talent by motivating, providing feedback, and supporting growth to recruit, retain, and develop effectively

Is this you? You have…

- A university degree in HR or related field (CHRL or equivalent is an asset)

- 10+ years of relevant HR experience, HRBP experience being essential

- Strong business acumen with ability to operate effectively and provide HR support to executive leaders

- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive impact

- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing talent acquisition and talent management strategies

- Proven track record of delivering results by demonstrating the ability to take independent action, with a strong sense of urgency

- Strong change management skills with demonstrated ability to act as a catalyst for change within a business

- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple executive stakeholders and capable of providing guidance and challenge where appropriate

- Ability to effectively deal with issues and move them forward using the appropriate HR channels while earning the right to be at the table early to provide expert counsel and consultation to business leaders on their strategic plans. Understanding how to operate in a matrix environment

- Domain experience in a variety of HR disciplines including Organisational Design & Effectiveness, Employee Relations and Compensation

This position is full time and based in our Stockholm studio with a hybrid working model (part office, part working from home). We apply a 6-month probationary period. You’ll need to be located in Sweden as we are unable to support relocation. As we’re an international company with over 20 nationalities working here, you need to be fluent in English.
