What You’ll Need

  • story or book of choice

The Activity

  • Choose your role

Maybe you’re the one reading, or have your kids do a character or two and tell the story to each other by acting out the characters and actions. Be silly, have fun!

  • Get creative with props

We love the story Dragons Love Tacos. So we decided we would make a taco party like in the book. We followed how to make the tacos in the story and made them out of LEGOs, and got all our dragons for a big taco party at the end.

  • Take your show on the road!

You can do this out too! We were at a Barnes and Noble, and they had animal puppets in the kids section. We grabbed some puppets and told each other The Three Little Pigs and The Three Billy Goats Gruff. We even had some other kids join us.

You can tell your favorite story anywhere and with anything!
